and please else don't yell - I'm not an expert or a repair tech. If I've missed anything else it's not intentional. I played it with my Denis Wick 4W and with it this horn gives a beautiful rich and almost flugelhorn tone. 5 schwarz, Filz 1:1 SP480245 Top Cap Felt Compensated Tuba (old models) 28/14 x 3. I can only assure that this Ambassador plays easy and beautifully in all registers. SP480305 Top Cap Felt Baritone/Euph B&S+Talis (old models) 22/11 x 2. and best of all you won't have to go crazy careful with it and worry about dents and dings. it will reward you with it's gratitude and make beautiful sounds for you. but I'm telling you - if you can give this horn a home and be proud of it's character. It needs more polish and elbow grease - but will still not be the most beautiful horn in the room. So basically this Ambassador has seen days when it looked better.

and all slides are free except the main tuning - but aside from a few gentle nudges, I haven't really attempted at all to pull it. the mother of pearl valve tops are intact. For this one I'm gonna let the pictures do most of the describing here. with a delightful rich and almost flugel tone that I've always come to expect from the vintage Olds cornets. I can tell you that it plays just like it's supposed to - easy and sweet. but like all of the wonderful Ambassadors. Lightning-fast valve action, medium large bore, polished brass reinforced with nickel-silver, third valve intonation adjustment stop rod, rugged, three point. I have found my new go-to cornet mouthpiece. However this new mouthpiece is a little more comfortable and heavier in mass.
